This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a Big Funky studio shoot, take home beautiful pictures and support your school’s PTFA

A £15 shoot fee (normally £50) is payable to confirm your shoot (We will call you for card payment and to discuss your photoshoot). Big Funky Pictures will donate the £15 shoot fee to your school’s PTFA when you view your pictures. Includes a complimentary 8″x6″ unmounted photo print of your choice.

Please note the photoshoot will be held at our new first floor Penwortham studio and not at the school as previous event.

It was such a good idea we thought we’d keep it going!

We were a bit late with some of our shoot date advertising so we asked our customers for some help.

We called it our “Lend us a friend” promotion. You get either a free 10″x8″ photograph or ANY SIZE canvas picture for HALF PRICE from your photoshoot, for recommending us to a friend and helping them book an appointment for any of our shoot dates

You can book your shoot by clicking on one of the dates/venues above. You will be taken to our online booking calendar. Click on the date of your shoot, then on your preferred time. These are half hour sessions. Please only book one, and please be sure you can keep your appointment.

About a week after your shoot you will be asked to come and view your pictures at our studio in Preston where you can choose your favourites to print. Have a look at our various products on the website and consider where your pictures may go in your home.

Our style of photography captures your children at play in a relaxed and informal way. Therefore we recomend casual clothing – bright colours and patterns work much better than pale colours. Please avoid white as we shoot predominantly on a white background.

Plug in air fresheners cause us concern

For the first time in 3 years of producing our own canvas pictures we have had a returned set of pictures. Our customer brought their 5 large canvas pictures back as they had turned yellow in the white areas of canvas.

We reprinted them without question as is our policy but we were baffled by the discolouration – until we came to strip them down. They smelled wonderful! The penny dropped and we called our client after a bit of research on the internet.

They had plug in air fresheners in every room of their home.

We took our 15 years experience as commercial graphic designers with a background in print and photography and set about creating beautifully enhanced canvas pictures from people’s own photos. It went from strength to strength and evolved into the contemporary portrait photography that we are now known and loved for.

We still enjoy creating stunning, big, canvas pictures from our customers own photos so send us yours for free advice.

There are many companies on the web making canvas prints from people’s own photos but none come close to a genuine Big Funky Picture. Shop around, but make sure you are comparing like for like. We only use genuine cotton rich canvas material with guaranteed light fast Epson pigment inks. Avoid disappointment – There is everything out there from cheap and cheerful canvas textured paper on mass produced frames to di-sublimation prints that you need a small mortgage for! We love what we do and it is reflected in the canvas pictures we produce – we don’t just print what you send us – we will optimise your image to surpass your expectations.
